From A Swaddle Covering Her Face, To Covered Face Alerts: Why Hadi Chose Cubo Ai
Hadi: We didn’t have a baby monitor for the first 3 months. However, starting in the 3rd month, our baby grew strong enough to unswaddle herself. As a result, the swaddle was covering her face. We had to constantly check to ensure this wouldn’t happen.

What Was Your First Impression of Cubo Ai?
Hadi: The box looks aesthetically cute and premium. I was surprised to find many parts/accessories can fit into that box. Unlike many other baby monitors that look utilitarian, the Cubo bird shape with a light on the side made it look kids friendly and less intimidating. The wood finishing around the camera makes it looks elegant.
We initially thought it would only have a stand to put the baby monitor next to cot. But the extra part included also offers the possibility to attach to the cot and makes it look neat. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that with the included table stand, we can use Cubo not only to monitor her sleep but also to monitor her when she plays – to avoid her crawling to places that we don’t want her to go.
The installation process was straightforward. The quick-start guide included in the box is extremely clear. It has a step-by-step installation process that is easy to follow. One person can easily assemble the stand. The app’s installation and account sign-up is also easy to follow with instruction to guide along the way.

How is Your Life After Lights Out Now?
Hadi: We sleep better and more peacefully after buying the Cubo since we do not need to wake up and check her as frequent as before – to see if she managed to unswaddle herself and cause the swaddle to cover her face.
In addition to that, we actually learned that she could roll in her sleep via the Cubo warning. Cubo eased our worries by detecting if she rolls away from her sleeping spot. My husband can now watch our baby via his smartphone app whenever he misses her at his workplace.
What Features Do You Enjoy Most?
Night Vision
We love the high video quality of the Night Vision. Our baby sometimes loses her pacifier, won’t find it and cries. She needs it as part of her self-soothing. If we search it using a flashlight, the light will overstimulate her and cause her to be fully awake. With Cubo Night Vision video high quality, we can easily spot where it is. Also, sometimes we are not sure if she’s asleep. With the clarity of Cubo’s Night Vision, we can see if her eyes are open or not.
Auto Photo Capture
Parenting is not easy. Often in the midst of the challenges, we forget to stop and capture the moment. The good thing is Cubo automatically takes photos to preserve this moment. The photo above was taken during our baby’s sleep regression. This happens near dust, hours after a sleepless night. We now look at this photo and cherish this memorable moment.
Temperature and Humidity Detection
We love the temperature and humidity detection/alert. We dress our baby sleepwear to suit room temperature at the start of her sleeping. However, later early in the morning, the temperature often drops and causes our baby to be awake. With low temp alert, it wakes us up so we can put a thicker sleepsuit on her.
Family Sharing
We love the Family Sharing capability so we can easily share our baby video when she’s asleep with our parents.
